It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald W. Gilpin of Scottdale, Pennsylvania, born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 19, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Gilpin and Lape; his daughters, Kelly Tullio (Randall) of Everson and Suzanne Brown (Richard) of Scottdale; the mother of his children Eleanor Gilpin (McKenna); his grandchildren, Rikki Swink (Cyle), Sarah Brown (Scott Spychola) and Morgan Brown; and his siblings, Donna Geary (Tom) of Jones Mills, Peggy Moon (David) of Rochester, NY, Jim Gilpin and Arlene Mascarelli. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southmoreland athletic programs.
