Samuel W. Vance Obituary

Age 90, of Scott Township, on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Beloved Husband of 57 years to the late Lucille A. (Zubay) Vance. Loving Father of Rebecca (Richard) Allen, Jane (and the late Brian) Lafuze, Kevin Vance, and Christine (Robert) James; Grandfather of Todd, Malia, Brett, Jenny, Kevin, Sarah, and Kimberly; Great-Grandfather of Melanie, Brynn, Isabella, Ryan, Gianna, and Colby; Brother of the late Richard Vance.

Samuel was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet M. (Jostad) Vance. Samuel retired as a chemical engineer from the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company. He was a lifelong member of the Lions Club International and an active member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, where his voice could be heard in the choir.

He was truly the ultimate volunteer for anything. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 412-531-4000. Friends and Relatives are welcome at 2630 West Liberty Avenue, Dormont on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

Everyone please meet at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church on Friday at 2 PM for a Memorial Service. Inurnment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to PRIME TIME Adult Care, Inc.
