He was predeceased by: his wife MaryAnn Baselj (Speicher); his son George Paul Baselj; his parents, Paul Baselj and Anna Baselj (Papakei); and his sister Dorothy Baselj.
He is survived by: his children, Ray Baselj Jr. (Dawn), Diana Baselj, Kristen Choby (Garret), Casey Baselj, Luke, Jackson and Ezekiel Choby; and his siblings, Leonard Baselj (Earlene) and Thomas Baselj (Patricia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
