He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Evans and Virginia Evans; and his brother Ralph Evans. He is survived by: his wife Jane Evans (Stickley); his children, Kimberly Wherry (Jim) and Philip Jr. (Jenn); and his grandchildren, Stephanie Harris (Jason), Matthew Wherry (Lindsey Wingold), Ashley Evans and Zachary Evans.
