As LaVerne departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though LaVerne may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy LaVerne leaves behind.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Albert L. Scott; her son Howard A. (Betty); her granddaughter Katherine S. Troup (Edward); and her great grandchildren, Ryan S. and Brendan E. Troup.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the William Slater II Funeral Service (1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Chartiers Cemetery (801 Noblestown Rd, Carnegie, PA 15106).
