It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaRayne Merrick Lutz of Scott Township, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 13, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Merrick and Rose McShaffery Merrick; her daughter Mari Delicati; her brother James "Butch" Merrick (Gail); and her brother-in-law Harold Newell.
She is survived by: her husband George Lutz; her children, Timothy Lutz (Lyn Lovell) and LaRayne Young (Jacob); her grandchildren, Maggie and Macie Young; and her sisters, Judy Newell and Rose Ann Gilboy (Thomas "Red"). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 30 E. D. Preate Dr., Moosic, PA 18507.
