He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Paul Hirsch; his grandson Jason Smith; and his brother Phillip. He is survived by: his wife Carol Hirsch (Mosblack); his daughters, Angela Smith, Cindy Sieck, Patricia Davies and Candace Johnson; his grandchildren, Nathan, Rachael, Jessica, Mary, Michael, John Smith, Jorie, Galen Sieck, A. J. Arnett, Ren, Daniel, Carolyn Davies and Kifer Johnson; and his siblings, Margaret Baldwin, Elizabeth Feth, Susan Hirsch, Donald and Robert Hirsch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
