With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Rose (Zagorsky) Popivchak of Scott Township, Pennsylvania, born in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 20, 2020 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Zagorsky and Anna Zagorsky (Waypa); her husband John Popivchak; and her siblings, Dorothy Maranich and Walter Zagorsky.
She is survived by: her children, David Popivchak (Rochelle), Carol Besspiata (John), Robert Popivchak (Carolyn), Mark Popivchak and Dennis Popivchak (Colleen); her grandchildren, Justin Besspiata (Ameera), Kristen Bucar (Dave), Caitlin Smith (Jonathan), John Popivchak (Erika), Rachel, Courtney, Sarah and Jessica Popivchak; her great grandchildren, Maya, Aria and Kya Besspiata; her sister Jean Daniels; her sister-in-law Rose Zagorsky; and her niece Kathy Popivchak. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to the pandemic, those attending mass will be required to wear masks and follow social-distancing practices. Interment will be private at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Helen's memory to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church or Bethany Hospice.
