It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Mathew Chekan (Scott Township, Pennsylvania), who passed away on September 6, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Georgianna Chekan (Georgie); and his siblings, Thomas, Margaret Dudas and Anna Marie Hanich. He is survived by: his children, Judith A. Kunkle (Jack) of Upper St and Edward G. Chekan, MD (Lisa) of Chapel Hill, NC.; his granddaughters, Elizabeth, Mary Claire, Ava Kunkle, Sarah, Emma and Laura Chekan; and his siblings, Joseph (Baldwin Twp), Mary Louise Socher (Donald), John, Andrew, George and Paul Chekan.
