He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Walsh and Mary Walsh (Kocsis); and his brother Stephen Walsh. He is survived by: his wife Joyce (Donelick); his children, Michael David Walsh (Julia Drazic) and Karen Taczak (Stephen); his grandsons, William, Benjamin, Jonathan and Max Taczak; and his siblings, Irene Santez, Mary Ann Druga and Ronald Walsh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
