He was predeceased by: his parent Cornelius M. DeYoung. He is survived by: his spouse Dixie Lee DeYoung (DeGroat); his parent Gladys M. DeYoung (Riker); his daughters, Holly L. Sytsema (William) of Wantage, Heather B. Pomposello (Roger) of Lehighton, Amy D. Bullis (Steven) of Henryville and Amber D. Wittel (Jason) of Reeders; and his sister Marjorie A. Sanders (Alfred J.) of Sussex. He is also survived by grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, to be disbursed to disabled veterans, cancer research and St. John's Lutheran Church.
