He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Wadel and Bernice Wadel (Pisle); his wife Mary Wadel; and his brother Lee Wadel. He is survived by: his children, Debra Beckman, Brian and Mark Wadel; and his grandchildren, David, Daniel Beckman and Brandan Wadel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren.
