He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert F. Moyer and Helen Moyer (Harpel); and his siblings, Burlyn Moyer and Pauline Conrad. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Moyer Sr. (Peterka); and his children, Ronald P. Moyer Jr. (Colette), Brenda Platchek (Randy), Beverly Hunsinger (Brian) and Nanette Benfield (Bruce). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
