He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary O'Connell (Horrigan); his parents, John O'Connell and Catherine O'Connell (Courtney); his brother William O'Connell, MD; and his children, Robert O'Connell (Laurie), Margaret Starcevic (Michael), John O'Connell, Christopher O'Connell (Carol), Maureen Pence (Scott), Timothy O'Connell (Terri), Ellen Tubbs (Michael), Mary Claire Ragan (Joseph) and Kathleen DeMutis (Emmanuel). He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
