He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Schumacher and Pauline Schumacher; his wife Rita Schumacher; and his sisters, Mary D'Arcy (late Ed D'Arcy) and Theresa Acton.
He is survived by: his children, Peter G. (Polly), Ann Ecklund (John), Catherine Robbins (Richard), Margie Ortlieb (Dave), Mary Shields (Martin) and Rita DeMichiel (Peter); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Acton, Kathleen Maiorino and Marie. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
