He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Smith, (Long) and John Russel Smith, Sr. (John). He is survived by: his wife Thelma Apel; his children, Marilyn Herczeg (late Stephen), Steven Smith (Meg) and Lorraine Dingley (David); and his pet Oscar. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church (1921 W Main St, Norristown, PA 19403). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church Cemetery (1921 W Main St, Norristown, PA 19403). A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Outreach House at St. James Episcopal Church, to Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church, or to any pet rescue.
