He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Shipe (Sharadin) and T. Burton Shipe; and his close friend Theresa Higgins. He is survived by: his siblings, Ellen Gross, Honeybrook and Joanne Shipe; and his stepchildren, Matthew Laub, William Higgins and Clarissa Laub.
