He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Kreis and Emily Kreis (Bernd); and his siblings, Carl, Fred Kreis, Elizabeth Bowman and Emily Wesner.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Kreis (Pamela) and Susan Blankenhorn (Marty); his grandchildren, Danielle (Tyler) and Zachary; his great grandchild Forrest; and his sister Madelyn Richey. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
