It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David R. Smith of Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Amy Augusta Rountree (Christ) and Richard H Smith; his wife Gaynell Mae Corcoran; his son Mark; his siblings, Richard Smith, Eugene Rountree, Ronald Rountree, Robert Rountree and Rosemary "Sis" Rountree; and his great grandchild Connor Dennin.
He is survived by: his son David R Smith II (Darci) of Olympia; his grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Joseph Brightman) of York, Molly Smith of Olympia, Jeff DeLaCruz of Chicago, Ellen Smith (James Spink) of Schuylkill Haven, Becki Smith of Olympia and Joshua Smith of Middleport; his great grandchildren, Austin Correll, Alexa, Kayli Moyer and Alyssa Spink; and also Michael. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions to Rajah Shrine 221 Orchard Road, Reading PA.
