He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shive and Christine Mary Shive (Welde); his brothers, Ernest, Gerald and Ronald Shive; his brother-in-law Clark Renoll; and his nephew William Shive.
He is survived by: his sister Faith Renoll; and his nieces and nephews, John (Kim), Keith, Henry Shive, Clayton (Sharon), Craig Renoll (Lindsay), Margaret Czarnecki, Christine "Tina" Smith, Crystal Whippo and Barbara Anderson (Joe).
