He was predeceased by: his wife Lucy A. Kern (Bortz); and his parents, Guy W. Kern and Marjorie M. Kern (Walsh). He is survived by: his daughters, Diane S. (Thomas T. Morgan) of Allentown and Robin L. (Michael J. Schroeder) of Kutztown.
