He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia A. Stimpfl (Reinert); his parents, Frank J. Stimpfl and Agnes R. Stimpfl (Yurasits); and his brother Alfred Stimpfl. He is survived by: his daughter Michele L. Fisher (Paul); his granddaughters, Kailee and Kirsten; and his siblings, Helen Fichter, Mary Balco (Joe) and Scott Stimpfl (Kathy).
