He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn J. Heintzelman (Keener); his parents, George M. Heintzelman and Edna L. Heintzelman (Fetherolf); and his siblings, Mark, Allen Heintzelman and Evelyn Custer.
He is survived by: his sons, James C. Heintzelman (Joan) of Schnecksville and Ronald J. Heintzelman (Gail) of Schnecksville; his siblings, Lee W. Heintzelman (Gloria) of New Tripoli and Ruth M. Fenstermaker (Forrest) of Colonial Heights, VA; his grandchildren, Bradley, Terri, Laurie Ann, Gregory and Seth; and his great grandchildren, Chase, Kailey, Brayden, Corrine, Canaan, Natalie and Keagan.
