She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman E. Schneck and Miriam E. Schneck (Lauchnor); her husband Roy C. Kern; her son Terry V. Kern; and her sister Kathryn Schmoyer.
She is survived by: her cousin Joyce Shankweiler; her children, Barbara A. Lamb (Charles "Dallas") of El Cajon, CA and Brian R. Kern (Colette) of Schnecksville; her siblings, Paul N. Schneck (Jean) of Orefield, Lois A. Shaffer (Elmer "Bud") of Allentown and Gertrude E. Sell of Ashland, MO; her grandchildren, Erika Butler (Travis), Adam Kern (Nicole) and Michael Kern (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Cody, Rylan and Bryson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
