She was predeceased by: her parents, William Emerick and Viola Emerick (Hook); her husband Earl James Dawson; and her siblings, Howard Emerick and Marie Murry.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Lilly (late George) of Ellerslie, MD, Carol Dietz (Barry) of Keyser, WV, James "Moe" Dawson of Everett and Gerald Dawson (Bonnie) of Schellsburg; her grandchildren, Lisa Weist, Patty Dietz, Rebecca Dietz, Jessica Hartman, Angie Dawson, Debbie Dietz, Theresa Dietz, Keri Walters, Michael Shoemaker, James Dawson and Toby Dawson; and her sisters, Effie Sturtz of Wellersburg, Dorothy Emerick of Meyersdale and Geraldine Zembower of Centerville. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren.
