Wanda L. Alexander Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wanda L. Alexander of Sayre, Pennsylvania, born in East Smithfield, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wanda L. Alexander to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Wilcox and Mabel Wilcox (Kitchin); her husband Delos L. Vinson; her former husband Gerald "Jerry" L. Alexander; her grandson Derek Marshall; her great grandchild Maddox Marshall; her sisters, Vivian Wilcox, Esther Cooper (Vince) and Eleanor Phillips (Gerald); and her siblings-in-law, Richard Bell, James Vinson, Audrey Puglisi, DeWayne Vinson (Marilyn), Bonnie Merritt, Dolores Henry (James), Robert Anderson and Shirley Vinson (Timothy Alexander).
She is survived by: her pet Sparky; her children, Sheri McHenry (Edwin VanDeventer) of Troy, PA and Dana Vinson (Kathy) of Athens, PA; her grandchildren, Darris Vinson of Chemung, NY, Melissa Vinson of Nichols, NY, Shannon Lord (Matthew) of Laceyville, PA, Ryan McHenry (Adam Gilson) of Lebanon, PA and Sheridan "Dannie" McHenry of Mildred, PA; her great grandchildren, Matisyn Lord, Balloo Sauerhafer, Hayden Lord, Davyn Vinson, Miriam Sauerhafer, Laedyn Byczkowski, Max Sauerhafer, Gannon Byczkowski, Brooklyn McHenry and Roman Gilson; her siblings, Virginia Bell of Horseheads, NY and George Wilcox (Mary) of East Smithfield, PA; her siblings-in-law, Ned Dale Vinson of Athens, PA, Linda Polovick (Kevin) of Sayre, PA and Garth Vinson (Carol); her stepchildren, Victoria (Carson), Andrew (Cindy) and Geraldean (Billy); and also, Kathy Onofre (Joe), Vern Kitchen and George Kitchen. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (225 S Main St, Athens, PA 18810).
