We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2023, at the age of 84, Richard E. Q Welty of Sayre, Pennsylvania, born in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Welty and Shirley Welty; his stepfather Donald Foster; his stepbrother John Foster; and his cousins, Richard Rhodes and Jack Rhodes.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta; his daughters, Marlies Welty, Heather Welty and Lisa Simons (Jess); his grandchildren, Alex Simons, Emma White, William White, Thomas White and Athena; his sister Judith; his siblings-in-law, Beverly and Wayne Miller; and his cousins, Donald Rhodes (Berneda) and Shirley Rhodes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
