He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cole and Ruth Cole Simpson (Moore); his stepfather Clinton Simpson; his siblings, Sally Plouse, Dennis Cole, Jeff Cole, Claude Harper, William Cole and Ken Simpson; and also Meaghan Jarvis.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his sons, Scott (Hannah), Eric and Bradley; his grandchildren, Emma, Beatrix and Izaak; his siblings, Ralph (Amanda), Carl, Craig, Ray, Jim (Laura), Julie Lovell and Susan Wheeler; his nieces, Holly Simpson and Melissa Lovell; and his close friend James Platt (Shelly Monchak). He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and his children's friends.
