She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Vanderpool and Ethel Johnson Vanderpool; her former husband Morris Cohen; her brothers, Stanley and Herbert Vanderpool; and her son-in-law Robert Wells.

She is survived by: her fiancé Dennis Helm of Connelly, NY; her children, Denise Cohen Wells of Athens, PA and Harry "Scott" Cohen (Kathy) of Waverly; her brother Leonard Vanderpool (Dawn); her granddaughters, Kiesha Jean Wells of Guerneville, CA and Mariah Christian of Wellsburg, NY; her great grandchildren, Forrest Littel of Guerneville, CA and Atticus Christian of Wellsburg, NY; and also Debbie Johnston (Jim) of Sayre. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

“I will always cherish the memories of Dee (as children) and later on in life as geography and distance did not support frequent contact. We did see each other infrequently through the years, but our contact was reduced to birthdays, holidays etc via telephone calls and cards. I will always remember her "spitfire" personality, always tempered with her sincere feelings for others and an upbeat attitude. My sincerest condolences to family and friends. RIP Dee, Cousin Bill”
