She was predeceased by: her parents, Solomon House and Olive House (Burke); her husband Robert J. McCarthy; her grandson John Michael McCarthy; her daughter-in-law Laura McCarthy (Millard); her grandson-in-law Richard Gardner; her siblings, Edward House, Ella (Lawrence Gallow), Susan (Norman Carpenter) and Betty (Pete Plestis); and her siblings-in-law, Michael Kucher, Marion House, Jean (McCarthy) and Ernest Heath.
She is survived by: her pet Molly; her children, Dennis (Vicki McCarthy), Kathy (Ken Devine), Jim (Cindy McCarthy), Bob (Sandy McCarthy), Bill (Lorraine McCarthy), John McCarthy (Lisa Wilber) of Sayre, PA, Lisa (David Cole) and Stacy McCarthy of Sayre, PA; her grandchildren, Joe, Kim McCarthy, Josh, Kierstin Gardner, Sarah, Jeff Rae, Jen, Ed Franklin, Scott Devine (Carissa Belles), LouCinda, Dennis Gareau, Lisa, Jeff Webber, Kevin McCarthy, Jamie, Chris Luettgenau, Melissa, Garrett McConnell, NikkiLee, Shawn Ringler, Billy, Amber McCarthy, Heather McCarthy, Jess McCarthy, Travis McCarthy (Brandi Mitchell), Brittany McCarthy, Nicholas McCarthy, Bryce Wilber, Ashlynn Wilber, Megan, Justin Cates, Dawn, Zach Cole, Emma and Jacob Blair; her siblings, Gladys Kucher of Horseheads, NY and John "Jack" House of Owego, NY; her siblings-in-law, Pat (McCarthy) and Pete Webster of Athens, PA; and her friend Joyce Ritzler of Spencer, NY.. She is also survived by 47 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests that all those in attendance for Carolyn's services to please wear a mask.
