He was predeceased by: his wife Carol "Sissy" A. (Lee); his parents, Arthur LaBar and Cora LaBar (Reese); and his siblings, Shirley Meyers and Wayne LaBar (late Thelma).
He is survived by: his son Brian LaBar; his grandchildren, Cora LaBar and Conner LaBar; his sister Bernice Williams; and his sister-in-law Patricia Voepel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
