He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bauer and Alice Bauer (Rice) of Erie, PA.; his former wife Joyce Bauer; and his sister Lois Ann Bauer. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bauer; his sons, Richard E. Bauer Jr. of Jim Thorpe, PA and Michael A. Griffiths Jr. (Samantha Gatto) of Saylorsburg, PA.; his grandchildren, Michael A. Griffiths III, Patrick A. Griffiths and Katelyn L. Griffiths; his great grandchildren, Bentley and Riley Griffiths; and his siblings, Albert Bauer Jr. of Oregon, William Bauer of New York State and Mary Alice Momeyer of Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
