It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivan M. Gearhart of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 13, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivon Gearhart and Mary Ellen Gearhart (Kennedy); his son Donald Gearhart; his stepdaughters, Deborah Frey Spears and Debra Smith; and his brothers, Walter Gearhart, Ronald Gearhart, William Gearhart, Donald Gearhart, Stanley Gearhart, Edward Gearhart, Quentin Gearhart and Robert Gearhart.
He is survived by: his wife Sally V. (Frantz); his children, William "Butch" Gearhart (Wilhelmina) of Towamensing Township and Sandra Farleigh (David) of Portland; his stepson Fred Whitmore of East Stroudsburg; his grandchildren, David Farleigh, William Gearhart, Angela Gearhart and Jennifer Gearhart; and his siblings, Harvey Gearhart of California, Marge Woodrow of Wind Gap, Katherine Stengal of Swiftwater, Sandy Courtright of Hamilton Square and Dorothy Stem of East Stroudsburg. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
