He was predeceased by: his parents, Ebrey Butler and Dorothy Butler (Fallon); and his siblings, Brian, Michael Butler and Susan Skelly.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel Butler, Darlene Devoy (Thomas), MaryAnn Butler (Matthew Malhame) and Bonnie Myers (Keith); his siblings, Patrick Butler, Dorothy Seit and Kathleen Lennon; his grandchildren, Sarah, MaKayla, Elizabeth, Kylie, Michah, Madyson, Morgan and Gracie; and his great grandchild Jace. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
