It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn Kay Brode of Saxton, Pennsylvania, born in Six Mile Run, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Arcq Jr. and Amanda E. Arcq (Whitney); her husband Harry C. Brode; her son Barrett Brode; and her brother Danny Arcq.

She is survived by: her children, Michele Wright (Troy), Boyd (Holly), Shawn (LeeAnn) and David (Amy); her brother John Arcq (Nellie); and her grandchildren, Trisha Diehl, Christopher Wright, Boyd Brode, Staci Brode, Anita McKnight, Cameron Brode, Kaitlynn Brode, Barrett Brode, Zack Bollinger, Drew and Brian Dolly. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
