She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rice and Bertha Rice (Mills); her husband David O. McMurtrie; her sons, William C. McMurtrie and Samuel McMurtrie; her grandparents, Edward E., Sarah Mills (Weimer), William and Sarah Rice (Shaffer); her aunt Edna Rice; and her siblings, Jeanne and William E. Rice (Betty L. Rice).

She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Taylor (Mark), Susan McMurtrie and Karen (Terry Wyles); and her nephews, Roger and Gary Rice. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saxton United Methodist Church or Saxton Volunteer Fire Company.
