He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Swift and Ida Pletsch Swift; his son Chad Daniel Swift; and his sister Adelaide Swift. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl L. Swift (Harding); his daughters, Crystal Boris (Jerry) of Renfrew and Meghan Swift of Mt. Oliver; and his grandchildren, Robert Gerald McWilliams and Jessica Marie McWilliams.
Dan's final legacy is being able to donate the gift of life by being an organ donor after a few years ago being on a heart transplant list himself.
