It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Lynn Witherite Sr. of Sandy Ridge, Pennsylvania, born in Julian, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Witherite and Elizabeth Witherite (Hall); and his siblings, Marie Hull, Malcom, Wayne, Carl and Sam Witherite.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly May Keeler; his children, Sue Witherite of Thorndale, PA, Milly Nordblom (Jim) of Boalsburg, PA, Walter Lynn Witherite, Jr. (Debbie) of Philipsburg, PA, Matthew C. Witherite of Fargo, ND and Reed R. Witherite (Kay) of Seneca, SC; and his siblings, Edna Ritter (Sam) of South Amherst, OH and Larry Witherite of Unionville, PA. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
