He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Franklin and Clara Agnes Norcross Ward; his wife Eleanor Whitehouse Ward; his son Cecil Clair Ward, Jr.; his grandchildren, Matthew Shilling and Jessica Ward; and his stepgrandson Tommy Alcorn.
He is survived by: his former wife Betty Rae Clarke-Ward; his children, Linda Haylett, Joelene Rhone of Melrose, FL, Patricia Hedglin (Sam) of Sandy Lake, James Ward (Pam) of Clarion, Dale Ward (Donna) of Rocky Grove and Betty Lou Zarlingo (William) of New Castle; and his sisters, June Turner of Mercer, Esther Darr (Al) of Atlantic, PA, Cora Baxter of Ohio and Delilah Butzkifer (Richard) of Evans City. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-granchildren; his many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
