She was predeceased by: her mother Helen Greenlee Clayton; her son Steven; and her sister Phyllis. She is survived by: her husband Carson Mertz Jr.; her daughter Julianne of Graham, NC; and her daughter-in-law Denise Mertz of Sandy Lake, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nieces, and a nephew.
