With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Margaret Verna of Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Giuseppe Cena and Giovanna Cena; her husband Benjamin Verna of Dick's Diner; her grandson Joey Shaffer; and her sister Martha Graziano.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Shaffer (Rick); her granddaughter Mary Crawford (Mike); and her caregivers, Donna Scholl and Koree Moorhead.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Saltsburg (701 Salt St, Saltsburg, PA 15681). A prayer was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church (703 Indiana Ave, Saltsburg, PA 15681).
