It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph G. Vatter of Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 22, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Vatter and Rheta W. Vatter Lucas (Wolfe); his stepfather Lyell Lucas; and his brothers, William E. Vatter, Jr. and James E. Vatter.
He is survived by: his wife June H. Vatter (Lynn); his sons, Joseph D. Vatter (Halaine) of Saltsburg, John L. Vatter (Cynthia) of Clarksburg, James M. Vatter (Chris) of Latrobe and Jonathan E. "Jerry" Vatter of Saltsburg; and his brother Leroy Vatter of Indiana, PA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Please respect state mandates concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, which limit visitations to 20% capacity, as well as wearing masks, and social distancing. Funeral services will be private with interment in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, at the convenience of the family.
