She was predeceased by: her husband Frank J. Cortez; her brother Tadao Sugimoto; and her parents, Tamehiko Sugimoto and Mie Sugimoto. She is survived by: her children, Adam J. Cortez (Mary Cole) of Allentown and Frances C. Cortez Funk (late Michael K. Funk, Sr.) of Fleetwood; her granddaughter Kimiko Palumbo (Shawn Palumbo); and her great grandchild Brayden of Oxford. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
