He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Edward; and his siblings, John, David, Sarah, Anna, Miriam, Jean, Esther, Mary, Ruth and Elizabeth.
He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Float (Hetzell); his wife Carol Jean Float (Churchel); and his children, Joseph Albert Float, Jr. (Jennifer), John Eugene Float (Renee) of Monroeville, PA, Charles Thomas Float (Colleen) of Pitcairn, PA, Debra McOlgan of Perkasie, PA, Lisa Carol Fazio (Raymond) of Salisbury, PA and DeAnna Jane Beachy of Springs, PA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
