With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emma Durst of Salisbury, Pennsylvania, born in Greenville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 7, 2021 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay Murray and Elsie Murray (Fuller); her husband William Creed Durst; and her siblings, Frank, Mike, Bill, Roy Murray, Betty Gaumer, Alma Gaumer, Wilma Watson, Norma Deal and Reta Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Gewaine Durst, Sr. (Judy) of Salisbury, Rick Durst (Pat) of Salisbury and Karen Lee Durst (David); her siblings, Dale Murray of Frostburg, MD, Bob Murray of Avilton, MD, Stella Delbrook of Frederick, MD, Joann Bingaman of Oldtown, MD, Shirley Deal and Doris Hennessey of Claredon, PA; her grandchildren, Gewaine Durst, Jr., Adam Chad Durst (Jenny Crowe), Sherry Lynn Livengood (Tim Hunt) and Michael Paul Livengood (Becky); her granddaughter-in-law Crissy; and her great grandchildren, Emma Rose Durst, Chloe Livengood, Trinity Livengood, Samantha Brown, Nathan Durst and Brently Livengood.
Friends will be received at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. Funeral services and interment in the Salisbury Cemetery will be private. Due to COVID-19, we respectfully ask all those in attendance please wear face masks and honor social distancing.
