He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Franklin and Cora Catherine Baer (Shaulis); his wife Betty Jane Shumaker; and his siblings, Kenneth E., Howard Baer, Gladys F. Flickinger, Erma C. Burk, Verna Mae Hoffman and Arlene Panasci.
He is survived by: his son Roger E. Baer (Althea R. Twigg); his grandchildren, Heather A. Sekerak (Robert A.) of Nanty Glo, PA, Brandon E. Baer (Ashley M.) and Ashley M. Saylor (Andrew K.) of Versailles, KY; and his great grandchildren, Angel, Faith, Tesla, Arabella, Lilly, Elina and Ezra.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services (494 W Main St, Somerset, PA 15501). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Somerset Co. Honor Guard 139 W. Union St. Somerset, PA 15501.
