He is survived by: his significant other Ella Roush (McGarvey); his children, Michelle Simpson Hutto (Joseph) of Hickory Ridge, AK and James Simpson of Royersford; his stepdaughter Betsy Roush; and his granddaughters, Lillian and Lydia Simpson.
