She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis M. Koons, Sr. and Cora E. Koons (Houser); her husband James E. "Jim" "Tootsie" Shatzer; and her brother Gary F. Koons. She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Shatzer (Kevin Neidig) of Dillsburg, PA and Jamie Fahnestock (Richie) of St. Thomas, PA; her grandson Lloyd James Fahnestock; and her brother Louis M. Koons, Jr..
