He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul C. Ashbaugh and Myrna M. Master Ashbaugh; his wife Kathryn Craig Ashbaugh; and his siblings, Madeline, Sheldon Morrions, Norma, Charles "Mac" McHenry, Denton Ashbaugh (Betty), Keith Ashbaugh and James Ashbaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Janet L. Dotterer (Glenn) of Millheim, Gary P. Ashbaugh of St. Petersburg and Craig A. Ashbaugh (Rhonda) of Emlenton; his grandchildren, Jay E. Dotterer (Shanell) of Appomattox, VA, Ashley L. Morgan of Williamsport, Corey L. Dotterer of Williamsport, Kyle B. Ashbaugh (Megan) of Norfolk, VA, Ashley M. Messenger (Dan) of Virginia Beach, VA, Amy N. McKolanis (Robert) of Dubois, Cameron M. Ashbaugh (Drew) of Monroeville and Ryan M. Ashbaugh (Ashley) of Hilliards; his brothers, Larry Ashbaugh (Mary Lynn) of Warren, OH and Richard Ashbaugh (Carol) of Falconer, NY; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ashbaugh of Laguna Woods, CA and Rachel Ashbaugh of Akron. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
