He is survived by: his parent June Horne Schaefer; his spouse Mary Lee Preston; his children, Shawna Pistner (Robby) of St. Marys, Timothy Schaefer (Kelly) of Elizabeth, CO and Jason Schaefer (Linda) of California; his brothers, Harry Schaefer (Rita) of West Jefferson, NC and James Schaefer of Fort Meyers, FL; and his significant other Gloria Lodes of St. Marys. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
